T.I.D.E. is an educational program for individuals looking for meaningful skills training, potential employment, and volunteer opportunities. We meet you where you are to help you achieve your set of goals. T.I.D.E. also offers social events for those who are ready to start and foster relationships and be more involved in their local community. We offer:

How do I attend a T.I.D.E. social event?
- Fill out the sign-up form: If you see an event you are interested in attending please fill out this form. Please note that filling out this form does not guarantee a spot for the event, as space is limited. T.I.D.E. staff will reach out to confirm your spot.
- If this is your first event: Look out for an email regarding steps to set up payment through the Self-Determination Program. Please also fill out the following forms:
- Have Fun: You will be notified when you are officially registered and have a spot for the event. Then, just show up, have fun and meet some friends!

Isabella Smith
Director, Skills for Independence ProgramIsabella is a Carlsbad native with a degree in Applied Psychology and Human Development, with a minor in Special Education, from Boston College. She previously worked with elementary-aged children with disabilities in educational and recreational settings, including at a summer camp in Pennslyvania.

How do I sign up for T.I.D.E.?

Are there any program requirements to join T.I.D.E.?
Individuals will need to:
- Be independent in all self-care activities (toileting, feeding, etc.)
- Not require intensive medical care
- Have no history of disruptive behaviors
How is T.I.D.E. funded?
T.I.D.E. LLC is not a vendor of a CA regional center and is only accepting Self-Determination (more on SDP below) or private pay clients.
What is Self-Determination Program (SDP)?
The Self-Determination Program (SDP) in California allows individuals with intellectual and
developmental disabilities to choose and direct their own services. With a personalized plan and
budget, participants have the freedom to select the supports that best meet their needs, promoting
independence and self-direction.

How do I get Self-Determination Program (SDP)?
Eligibility: You must be a client of a California Regional Center, reside in CA and
receive services under the Lanterman Act.
Process: Contact your regional center coordinator to begin the process of enrolling in SDP.
The program is completely voluntary and open to all regional center clients.
